  • Java Edition: The original version for PC, Mac, and Linux. If you bought Minecraft from minecraft.net before October 2018, or specifically chose Java Edition, this is likely you. The launcher title usually says "Minecraft: Java Edition".
  • Bedrock Edition: Available on Windows 10/11 (from the Microsoft Store), Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices. If your game title just says "Minecraft" and you can play with console friends, this is likely you.
